Speeding ticket in Spain

I visited Spain in September, 2009. In November, a speeding ticket arrived for 100 euros for traveling 105 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. I was on a major highway and remember the flash (what was that?) and thought it was photo-radar but had not seen any sign and had not seen any reason that the area would be posted slower. Oh well.

What are the consequences of not paying the fine?
can't rent a car in Spain
can't travel to Spain
can't travel to Europe
some sort of US/Europe traffic co-operation that will garnishee my wages
consequences in the US
something else

Any informed opinion accepted. Thanks in advance,

Hugh

It will show up on the credit card with which you rented the car, plus some additional administrative charges.

Spain seems to have "speed" cameras all over. My GPS system kept going off with the warning of the things, but like you I saw no signs.

Not a clue what happens if you don't pay the fine. I know that in the US the car rental companies will just charge it to your credit card along with thier "charge" for doing so. (You may also see a charge from the car company for this ticket. It's the "admin" fee for having to tell the police who you were)
