We'll be arriving on Eurostar from Belgium and need to connect with train to Bath which leaves from Paddington Station. What is the easiest way to do this? I thought I read somewhere that the two stations were just "across the street" from each other. Can't seem to find that remark again. Any ideas???

St Pancras station, where the Eurostar trains arrive, is connected with Paddington Station via the tube. There are frequent tube trains, many of them running directly between the two stations, and the journey takes about 15 minutes.

It's St Pancras, Euston and King's Cross that are close to one another. St Pancras and Paddington are a long way apart. Fortunately there is a direct Underground link. You want the Westbound Circle, Hammersmith and City, and Metropolitan Lines platform. Several different services use this platform: you MUST only get on a train with the destination of "CIRCLE LINE" or "HAMMERSMITH". Do NOT get on any other train as it will not go to Paddington.

On each train platform, you will see a map that shows each station in the direction you are going. In addition, there are maps in the trains as well (although they do show the entire line). Usually if you have to go downstairs to the track, there will also be a very easy-to-read map again showing the stations served by the line you are about to go to.
Remember you want the Circle line going to Paddington Station.When you get on your train, be sure to note that is says the Circle Line as sometimes trains come in on the track with differing ultimate destinations, The tube is very well-marked and if in doubt you can always ask someone.

Thanks so much for your responses. It always helps to go armed with good bits of information as to EXACTLY how to navigate an unfamiliar system. Saves so much time once you're there to not have to sort out all the signage!!!
