Why do some online travel sites offer a "special fare", where they keep the specific airline secret until after purchase? These websites usually give the number of stops, the airports, and the approximate departure/arrival times. Some even give the alliance, so with only a small amount of detective work, a traveler could determine the airline as well. What does the company accomplish with this game?
