The Luminale is happening in Frankfurt from 15-20 April, 2012 and the Deutsche Bahn in conjunction with the Messe is offering special, round-trip tickets from anywhere in Germany, with no specific train needed, for 99 euro. I think that is a pretty good deal. 1st class is 159 euro. Travel to take place between 13-22 April and the tickets need to be purchased before 2 April. This year it will be 160 art installations made of light, in various locations in the city. They may be outside or inside, on skyscrapers, bridges, in churches or museums, in parks or on historic buildings. It only happens every other year and if you are a photographer, this is a real treat.
