Spanish Train stops / ticketing

Hello,
We will be traveling from Granada to Algeciras in Spain by train. While searching www.renfe.es I have found the ticket we need, along with the stops that this train makes along the way. According to their website, there are 3 trains that follow this route on the day that we are traveling, and all are Regional Express trains. If we took an early train, and got off at a stop before our final destination (Ronda), can we get one of the later trains to complete our journey? For some reason I can not buy a ticket from Granada to Ronda, or from Ronda to Algeciras. So if I did get off and Ronda and re-board later in the day to continue the trip, would I need to purchase another ticket?

Thanks for the help!

Altho we have traveled extensively in Spain on trains, we have not encountered this. We suggest contacting the RS people who deal with train issues and sell passes. They can probably help.

Robert....you can find the schedules and fares for the two segments as follows. On the RENFE page, enter Granada as your "Origin," enter your travel dates, then type "Ronda" into the box below that says "I want to travel from." That will bring up a huge alphabetical list which includes Ronda. Click on Ronda and the schedules and prices will come up. To go from Ronda to Algeciras, enter the travel dates and type "Ronda" into the "I want to travel from" box. Select Ronda from the alphabetical list, then select Algeciras from the second alphabetical list that pops up...your schedule and journey times will show up. I'm pretty sure these tickets have to be purchased by phone, and they may only be available three days in advance before they have to be picked up. I don't think you need worry about reserving them in advance.....you can get them at any RENFE ticket office beforehand.

Thank you very much! For some reason I could never find Ronda listed as an available station.
