Spain to Greece?

Hello,

I'm planning a trip leaving next week. I'm spending the first 3 weeks traveling Western Europe. I'll end that section of the trip in southern Spain/Lisbon/Morroco.

For the next leg of the trip, I want to see Switzerland, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, and Istanbul in 3 weeks (willing to drop switzerland, slovenia, and croatia in that order if I have to), but I'm really not sure how to connect the dots as it seems nobody flies into Greece from Iberia.

I want to do it as cheaply and efficiently as possible (So i would rather avoid having to pay to fly to Milan from Madrid and from Milan to Athens, for example).

At the end of the 3 weeks, I need to be in Venice or Florence.

I did a little research on the Iberia - Athens situation. The only direct flight I could find was from Barcelona to Athens. It's on Vueling and flights from 70 euro. So I don't know if you will be in BCN at all to get this flight. I didn't see anything direct from Lisboa or Madrid.
The site I just looked this up on is a great resource......whichbudget.com. You simply enter the city or country you want to fly FROM and the where you want to go TO and it pulls up list of budget euro airlines that fly that route. GOOD LUCK!

Here's just one option you might consider:

*Drop Slovenia and Croatia--they're both great destinations but maybe best saved for another trip.

*Fly from Madrid to Zurich for the Switzerland portion of your trip. Train to destinations in Switzerland.

*Then, fly from Zurich to Istanbul for the Greece/Turkey portion of your trip.

*Fly from Athens to Venice (Myair Airlines) then, home from Venice.

Another website for checking discount airlines is www.flylc.com--they list Germanwings (haven't flown them) for the segments that I mentioned above.

Sounds like a great trip!

Thanks for the great replies! I tried to put my itinerary in, but the forum killed all the formatting. I'll try to figure out an alternative way of posting it.
