Does anyone know if Spain offers a Senior pass for RENFE trains? If so, how can I get one? Can I gget one while in the USA or are they only available in Spain? Thanks!!!

They do. Don't remember the age limit - could be 62. At the time we were both over 65 so didn't pay any attention. In 09 the fee was 5E per card for the year. Need your passport. Purchased at any train station. Got you 40% off on weekday travel and 25% on the weekend. Buy it when you get there.

Jack, they do have one. We'll have our Tarjeta Dorado (Gold Card) in two weeks when we arrive in Barcelona. You have to be over 60. Last I saw, the cost was 5.05E. With the card, you get a discount of 40% for train travel Mon-Thur. 25% for train travel Fri-Sun. I'm not sure about the AVE trains.
