I'm trying to find out if there is a bus or train option to travel from Arcos de la Frontera to Nerja. I've been reading through the Rick Steves Spain book and visiting transportation websites, but I can't seem to find anything. Any advice?

By bus, you'll have to go to Ronda, make a connection there to Malaga, then there is service about once an hour to Nerja from there. It's a very long journey and, while the scenery is wonderful, it'll probably be better for you to take a bus back up to Sevilla and train from there to Malaga. There are several buses/day that require a change in Jerez, but with good connections, you can be in Sevilla in 2 1/2 hours. Check www.movelia.es for times and prices. There are several trains a day that make the journey from Sevilla to Malaga, travel time between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. Check train times and prices at http://www.renfe.es/horarios/english/index.html . If you want the route by bus, PM me...but, believe me, it's not easy...and the bus-train combo thru Sevilla is just as cheap.
