We're planning to rent a car in Spain for touring the south. We will take a train from Madrid, and probably don't want a car in Sevilla. Any suggestions as to the best place to stay a week for access to Granada, Cordoba, and the White Hill towns? We hope to find an apartment for home base. We would normally use trains and mass transit, so we're less than sure about driving.
The beaches anywhere east and west of Malaga will be a good place to find an apartment or similar accommodation to rent.....there are tens of thousands of units available to rent for a week (timeshare places, etc) which would be equipped with kitchens, etc. But wherever you stay, rent your car out of Malaga....weekly rentals are extremely low there, with unlimited mileage, etc. You can get a sub-compact for between 112 and 128 Euro weekly, depending on the season. We use carjet.co.uk. Malaga is about 2 hours from Cordoba, and about 1:40 from Granada. For apartments, try homelidays.com
Thanks Norm
I'm still checking out the apartments, but the carjet outfit is definitely a winner!
