What is the best/fasted way to get from the South of France to Barcelona?

The "South of France" is a very large area. Please name some possible departure cities.

Hopefully, Marseille, we will be staying in Provence (Avignon or Arles). I believe Marseille is the closest major airport.

Hi Caroline,
One option would be to fly from Lyon to Barcelona on EasyJet. I looked on www.whichbudget.com and didn't see a flight from Marseille to Barcelona.
