I would like to know if anyone has a schedule for the month of May for the Metrodelmare. We will be staying in Sorrento and hope to use the ferry to travel to Amalfi. I have tried emailing Metrodelmare with no response and would like to do some advance planning.

The service contract for the MdM was not let this year because of local government budget cutbacks. The service is heavily subsidised. At first it looked like there would be no service at all but the local towns are talking to the boat owners at the moment and there may be some sort of service from June to about the end of September. I'm afraid it's a case of checking when you get to Sorrento. Last May when we were visiting Positano for the day we happened on a Positano to Sorrento boat that was not on any timetable. The operators were Alicost so maybe you could get lucky! BTW the Metro del Mare is a consortium formed each year not an individual company so there is no "head office" as such.
