When I look at the SNCF site I am told "If you pay on line using American Express or a foreign card that does not have an electronic chip (maximum amount of 1500 €), you will only be able to retrieve your tickets from a boutique. You cannot use a Self-Service Terminal."
My question is this, by boutique do they mean the ticket counter at say Gare de Lyon in Paris?
Thanks Mary
SNCF boutiques are sales offices located at places other than train stations. Yes, you may pick up tickets at a station ticket counter. On the French version of the SNCF site the words are "guichets d'une gare ou boutique SNCF." "guichets d'une gare" means ticket counter at a station.
