Can I reserve a sleeper car (Munich to Rome) on DBbahn's website? Reservation only (will have a railpass). RailEurope is too expensive. But DBbahn has a statement on their site that sounds like you can't do this but then you can proceed to do a reservation only of a sleeper car with shower and WC for 2people for 140 euros. Will this reservation ticket be valid with our railpass if I purchase?

Since the option you wish is available for your departure date and shows up on the Bahn site, you certainly can book the supplement for beds in a sleeper and they will be valid with your railpasses.

Yep, the DB.com reservation only for the sleeper is exactly what you want.
