SKYSCANNER.COM??

Last time I asked regarding cheap flights from Naples to Palermo your help was great Now that I am ready to book (unless waiting is better) I am hesitating
about who is, what can go wrong with Skyscanner.com Checking Alitalia's website to pricey for the 4 of us but Skyscanner gets me on the same Alitalia's flight on July 17 for $156.each taxes in Checked baggage and I think I am okay with no extra fees( if I did this correctly) Then Skyscanner directs me to Ebookers etc. Want to book it but I keep waiting cause I've never booked with Skyscanner or any other cheap website. Comments would help right now

Skyscanner surveys many on-line agencies and airline sites and provides their links. It doesn't sell these tickets so you are doing business with ebookers, or Alitalia, or cheapoair or whatever you click on. I can't advise on price comparisons without the date and time of your flight. Generally, buying direct from the airline is the same price or cheaper as an on-line agency. There is always the possibility of exceptions, especially when an agency combines a couple of airlines (but that's not your situation.) Buying from the airline may also make it a little easier to handle advance seat selection if available.
The real difference that comes up in these discussions all the time is that if a schedule changes or some other difficulty arises, the agencies have less clout, and less accountability, than the airline which is making the decisions.

Yes I see that it directs me to Ebookers and then it shows me my amount in Euros It directs me to see what it will cost me in canadian dollars. Alitalias website is more for July 17 leaving at 8:05 from Naples
I guess I should take a chance and book it.

Hi Mina, You don't "book" with Skyscanner. Skyscanner is just the search engine that directs you to other sites where you can book a ticket. I don't have any experience with eBookers, but I do know that some of these sites do not include baggage, so you either have to buy the ticket at the carrier's site and include baggage there or pay at check-in. I have used RyanAir and EasyJet (low cost airlines), and the prices were great! - but you do have to read the fine print. Also, I have to catch myself because I will get excited seeing a lower price, but then I realize the currency is in EURO or POUNDS and converting it to dollars is no different than the price I originally found. If you feel you have dotted all your i's and crossed all your t's, then jump on that ticket! It might not be there later!
I am not sure if this helps you, but hopefully it can be a start. P.S. - for your trip from Naples to Palermo, have you tried Volotea?

As far as I know there is only one site, www.easyjet.com I just took a peek and it does fly to/from Naples and it does fly to/from Palermo, but it does go from Naples TO Palermo, or vice versa, and I doubt it would be worth your while to go to Palermo from Naples by way of ...London :)
Gotta love these budget airlines!

Skyscanner is like Google: You can use it to find cheap prices, but at the end of the day, you still have to go to Amazon or BestBuy to actually BUY what you are looking for. In this analogy, ebookers is the "Amazon". Or another way to think of it: Skyscanner is like Kayak. They work the same way. You do not "book" with Kayak... you simply find the fares there.

Ditto Nicolas. Skyscanner is like Google. Another one that we use is Whichbudget.com,and then we book directly with the airline.
