SkyEurope airline

Has anyone flown this airline ? If so, what was your experience ? Flights are pretty cheap.

We bought tickets for a flight from Prague to Venice for Sept. Although we have not flown yet, all research I did on the net made me believe they were good (for a budget airline). They recently have started to halt their expansion and cut back some of their hubs and flights due to a new CEO and restructuring. There is a bit of concern in my mind that they might drop my flight somehow, but since it was so cheap ($125 for two people to fly), it doesn't really matter to me and we can adapt our schedule if the airline isn't there for us.

Safety wise I couldn't find any major infractions mentioned on the various sites I look at. They are recognized by the European community and allowed to fly in EU airspace, so they have to follow those rules.

cont'd...

Like all budget airlines, I recommend arriving early, and knowing ahead of time where the airport is. In Venice they use the Treviso airport which is not the major one in the region. Also be aware of their baggage restrictions (available on their website).

Good luck, and let me know how they were if you choose to fly with them!

Also note that the prices of their flights change a lot. I saw it go from 1 - 150 Czech Crowns in one day. However, that is a difference of about $15 US so it really doesn't matter. So don't freak out if they suddenly go up a lot, because it is all relative. One day I noticed that they had somehow miscalculated the tax and fee's for a flight so the Prague to Venice leg would have cost about $30 for both of us to fly. Of course at that point I had already purchased my flights, so it was just kind of frustrating. :-)
