Sky Europe Problems

Please be advised that SkyEurope has suspended its sales and operations immediately.

Those of you who have purchased flights with a credit card, please turn to your credit card issuing bank to seek refunds for unused portions of SkyEurope's flights.

In case you have paid directly to SkyEurope in other means than credit card (e.g. bank transfer, cash), please be advised that a refund may not be possible.

If you have ordered your flight tickets via a travel agency or organizer, you should discuss the matter with them first.

If you are already at the destination or have rented a car through SkyEurope's business partner, you may stay at the hotel and use the vehicle during the period originally agreed. You must, however, order a return flight from some other airline at your own expense.

You may also wish to contact your insurance provider to seek further guidance and support.

Some airlines are offering SkyEurope passengers reduced rate flights but only for a short while and for certain routes.

Hopefully you bought it with a credit card. Just dispute the charge with your credit card company, and it should be a quick and fairly simple process.

On the other hand if you paid in cash or via a bank account transfer then good luck to you :-)

I read about two European low fare airlines who offer really cheap flights to people with Sky Europe tickets for several months from quite a few European locations. Unfortunately, since it didn't concern me, I didn't make a note of their names. Perhaps, if you google Sky Europe News, they will pop up. Or perhaps someone on this forum will know the answer. Good luck!

WizzAir and RyanAir...

I have a question...does anyone know if Wizzair is thinking of charging to use the toilet like Ryanair? Wouldn't it be ironic?
