Skipping first portion of flight?

I booked a solo trip to Paris for September, and my flight home is a BA flight from CDG to Heathrow and then a Air Can flight home from there. The thing is my mom has decided to join me, and we are now thinking of a few days in London at the end of the trip. It seems silly to take the train back to Paris to fly back to London, so does anyone know if I can just skip the flight to London and leave on the second portion of my flight?

If you're ticketed right through from CDG to Canada, then no. If you miss the first leg of the flight, they will consider you a no-show and cancel the rest of your ticket.

Easy enough, I had guessed as much, but wanted to make sure. I can't say I'm too upset, I get to spend another evening in Paris and get some great snacks for the trip home. Thanks!

You could call and ask if you can change the ticket to remove that portion of it so you are not listed as a no show, although they might not do it, or they might charge you for the privilege of flying less. It might be worth a try to avoid the extra time and expense of traveling back to Paris, though.

my husband had to do this exact same thing for a trip we have this summer (because of a business trip) and he ended up paying $175 for the privilege of not flying TO our destination.

Check into it with the airline. The cost to make the change may be less than the cost of the Eurostar ticket.
