I'm considering a single country rail pass for Germany, but am uncertain of what is meant by 1 month... I'll be using the pass in late April and early May, and spanning a period of less than 30 days. As I need to travel in both months, will one pass cover it?

Good question. The German Rail website webpage for their railpass says "4-10 days within a four week period". That certainly looks like it's a time span, not a calendar month.
Four weeks is only 28 days, not a full month. In another place they say "validity within one month".

Thanks Lee, I had seen the page you referred to but missed the "four weeks" 28 days will more than cover me. Thanks for the help
