Assuming you take the airport shuttle bus from the airport which drops you off at Palermo centrale train station it is 550 meters right up via roma to the hotel, which is on the same side of the street. Unless you are traveling very heavy it's an easy walk.

Thanks, Dan. I am packing light, but on Trip Advisor, as a single woman after dark with luggage, they recommend getting a taxi. So I was looking for someone to share one, or be my compadre on the shuttle and the walk to the hotel! Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I just want to be safe.

I understand your concern. I didn't like walking around Palermo's train station at dusk when I visited Palermo last May.

Since pm_bowers is on the same flight, you may want to ask your hotel to arrange a private transfer for all of you.

I considered the private transfer but since I was arriving at 4pm, I ended up taking the bus. The B&B where I stayed is near the Ambasciatori hotel.

If you decide to take the bus, you may want to ask your hotel which bus stop is closest. When I took the bus I got off at “Roma- Vucceria”, which comes before the train station.
