We will be arriving at the Lyon airport via TGV from Paris and picking up a car (most likely from Europcar). I haven’t been able to determine from the airport website if there is a shuttle we could take from the train station to the car counter. I wouldn’t mind walking, it doesn’t look far at all, but I’m concerned about whether it’s a busy road, with two young children. Any insight?
I have not been there.
It seems there should be a way to get to the airport terminal from the train station and then use whatever shuttle bus gets those who fly in, to get to the Europcar location. Cannot imagine they make folks hike from the terminal to the lot.
there is a shuttle; just ask the airport information desk for directions if it is not obvious

I've taken the shuttle several times from the airport to the car rental, and I would not even attempt to walk the route, even though it's not overly far. I don't remember if the shuttle stopped at the TGV station, but if it doesn't, it's easy to get to the airline terminal and pick up the shuttle.
