Should I book train tickets in advance for Paris?

Hi,
I am planning to travel to Paris with my mom for 9 days. We would like to take a few day trips to Amboise and Rouen.
Do you advise to book train tickets ahead? And which website would you recommend?

Thanks.

There are plenty of trains from Paris to those destinations, so buy the tickets in Paris. Buy both at once to save time.

If you book far enough in advance (up to three months allowed) at www.voyages-sncf.com, you can get PREM'S (discount) fares of €10 for Paris-Rouen. You can print your own PREM'S tickets. Leave France as the default country and do NOT choose cancellation insurance. PREM'S are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. The standard fare is €19.30.

To my surprise, I didn't find any PREM'S for Paris-Amboise. The standard fare is €26.30.
