Should I be worried about these flights?

I'm already booked on Air France from LAX to Lisbon in April and just thought I'd check Flightaware to see how consistent my flights have been. Lo and behold, the LAX to CDG flight number currently is for a LAS (Vegas) to CDG flight. I double checked my booking and it says Los Angeles. Hmm, and my flight onward to Lisbon is not currently operating. So I also checked a good connection KLM flight and while the LAX - AMS flight is very consistent, there are currently no flights to Lisbon under the flight number listed. I'm hoping that this is because these flight will magically change later as the "season" starts. But it's kinda nerve wracking. Is there anyway of checking when these flights open up?

I picked a random day in April. The Air France website has 3 Air France flights leaving LAX for Lisbon on that day, and 2 KLM flights. Any schedules for April are likely to be fixed.

A lot of airlines have different schedules for Spring & Summer when there are generally more folks traveling than in winter. I'm assuming these flights are part of the spring summer schedule. The easy way to check this is go to google flights and pick random dates to see when your actual flight starts operating. Just because it isn't flying now, doesn't mean it won't be there in April.

It is not unusual for an airline to offer seasonal flights to certain destinations. I suggest you go on the Air France website and check your flight with Manage My Booking to see if there have been any changes. And try a dummy booking to see if they are selling seats on the same flight.

If that doesn’t reassure you enough, go on FlyerTalk in the Air France forum and ask. The people there are both very knowledgeable and quite friendly.

I noticed on a recent flight to the East Coast from LAX that my Delta flight number for the connecting flight in Atlanta on the day of travel was a different flight when I looked a few days before the flight. So obviously a schedule change - flight number can't always be relied on.

Go to the AirFrance website. Go to My Booking. Click Log in with my booking reference. Enter your booking reference and your last name and click Search.

Then relax and sleep well until April.
