I'm considering doing a short term lease with Auto Europe for our trip to France this summer. We've never done the lease program for any trips, just regular rentals. Anyone have any experiences with this program? I'm looking at getting a Peugeot Minivan. The quote is cheaper than a traditional car rental since we're going to be in France for three weeks.

I did that with Renault Eurodrive for an extended vacation we took to France a few years before we moved, and it worked out perfectly well. The cost was exactly as quoted, the car was brand new (no smokers), the pickup and drop off were straightforward, and they even handled a broken taillight at no extra cost. While I don't have experience with Auto Europe, in my opinion the concept in general is a good choice for people on a longer stay in France.

we are in France at the moment, using our third lease car. ( citroen) I have counted 14 other red number plate(french) lease cars on our trip so far of nearly 4000kms. in various countries. Rather than explain the benefits etc, its probably better if you do a search ( top of the page) for 'lease' ,as this topic has been covered in some depth before. then if you still have questions, ask away. for a longer trip, it makes a lot of sense.
