SFO long term parking—how much time to allow to get to flight

We are wondering, if we park at SFO long term parking, how much time so we need to get to our United flight to Rome?

It all depends on your anxiety level. The people mover from the long term parking lot gets you there quickly. In other words, it's not so complicated that it'll cause your delay. That said, my kids tease me about needing to be at the airport on Tuesday for a Saturday flight.

We're taking a long haul flight soon, departing at 1:45pm. We plan on being at the airport by 11:00 using a ride share company. Then we'll go to the lounge and, well, lounge until boarding about 1:00.

If we were driving ourselves, I'd plan on arriving at the SFO long term lot not later than 10:45am. But that's me.

You can cut things closer if you don't want to hang out at the airport, as I say, depending on your anxiety level. But you are taking a vacation and SFO's international terminal isn't too bad a place to cool your heels.

Have you considered a car service if you live in the Bay Area? When we travelled out of SFO the cost of a car service was slightly higher than parking. It was also nice to have a car waiting at arrivals after the trip.

If self parking onsite at the airport allow 45 minutes to get to terminal+ checkin+ security. Minimum 3 hours. You never know what you’ll encounter the day of travel.

It is actually our son who lives in San Francisco and his car will get ticketed if he doesn’t do something with it while he is gone so he will put it in long term parking.
I was just wondering how long to allow for the time to leave it in long term parking then get from there to an international flight.
