If I arrive at San Francisco Term 1 Gate 37, and have to fo International Gate 102, how will I make the connection? Is there a tunnel or a walkway?
There is a free sky train that connects the terminals. Follow the signs from after you leave the T1swcure area. Gate 102 is in International Terminal G. Take either the Red Line or the Blue Line to get there; itis 3 stops intone direction( Blue) and fourin theother( Red) but not a significant difference. Whichever comes first is fine.
Thanks so much for the map, Char, and Lola, for the very clear instructions. I now have a much clearer view of what to do.
I'm sorry but I'm new to this. It sounds like Line Red and Line G refer to a Sky Train. Will either take me to International Gate G? or where dothey let me off? Then what is the next step? Thanks.
Here's a map of the SF terminals and sky train: http://www.visitingdc.com/airports/san-francisco-airport-terminal.asp
Hi Marilyn, the map should clarify things. The terminals are arranged in a horseshoe shape and the two lines of the Skytrain ( Red and Blue) connect them. They run in opposite directions and they both stop at all the terminals. A light display on the train and a voice announcement will tell you when you reach International Terminal G. There is also an International Terminal A at the other end of the horseshoe so make sure you get off in G. The Skytrain does not serve the gates. You will enter the terminal lobby frommthe Skytrain, probably will have to take an escalator down to the main area where you will find the security checkpoint ( and the airline desks if you still need a boarding pass for your flight). After you go through security, you will follow signs to Gate 102.
