Security during Layover in Dublin Airport

I'm looking at a flight from Boston -> Dublin -> Naples. I have a 2 hour and 20 minutes connection in Dublin. From everything I've seen, I won't need to exit and re-clear security/customs/passport in Dublin; this would only happen in Naples. Also, if its a single booking - I believe I won't need to collect my luggage until Naples? Is all of this correct? Is 2:20 enough time to connect (landing at 5AM on a Friday, so Dublin shouldn't be busy)?

Only you will know whether you have a single booking or not. If you do, yes your bags ought to be transferred. Transfer at Dublin is fairly easy - you can download the airport app for this on arrival via free wifi or ask one of the uniformed 'hosts' for help if you need it.

That is not an assumption I would make. I would research that before I counted on it as part of my planning
