Second class on Eurostar Chunnel

Can you still ride second class if you are over age 26? I can't seem to find a clear cut answer... I know for the Eurail you are forced into first class when over age 26, but wasn't sure if it was the same for the Eurostar chunnel (from London to Paris). THANKS!

I not sure I understand your post. Anyone can ride 2nd class. I am 67 and ride 2nd class all the time. Eurail is not a train but a travel agency that sells rail tickets to North American at fairly steep prices. Need a little clarity, please.

Hi Erin,

The Eurail Global and multi-country passes force you to buy a first class pass if you are something like 25 or over, but there is no restriction on age when purchasing point-to-point tickets.

Unfortunately, the Eurostar is not included in any of the Eurail passes, but you do get a discount on the purchase price of the Eurostar ticket if you are holding a Eurail pass. So for that reason, the pass and the Eurostar ticket are two separate things - and you can purchase whichever class you would like on the Eurostar, regardless of age, and still receive the passholder discount.
