Seating on Norwegian Airlines

Norwegian Airlines states that they will assign you a seat if you don't purchase an seat assignment.
Do anyone know if you get to sit together if you purchase two tickets at the same time without selecting a seating assignment?
Thanks
Chris

Yes. My girlfriend and I have flown with them numerous times and have never purchased a seat assignment and we have always got joining seats.

I bought two tickets to Copenhagen from Orlando yesterday for about half the normal airfares to Europe.

My wife, hates to sit in the middle, and Norwegian's 787's have a 3-3-3 seating configuration--someone's going to be in the middle. We'd just about rather seat separate if it gave us a window or aisle seat--to avoid that middle seat.

The real response is "maybe". Assuming when they get to you in the seat assignment lottery there are two seats together you will probably get them. If all that is left are middle seats they won't move people for you to sit together nor will other passengers gladly trade their window or aisle for your middle. If you absolutely have to sit together pay

The answer is "maybe". Last year, I paid to reserve as aisle seat. In the middle seat was a woman who was separated fom the rest of her family.

If you are booked together in the same reservation,
chances are possibly higher that you will sit together.
If you have separate reservations, it is likely
the computer assigning the seats wont put you together.

A heads up?
If you will be connecting to a US airline, or from
a US airline to Norwegian Air, double check with
your US airline if your checked baggage will transfer.
In the US on your way to Europe, you may well
have to claim your checked bags at the connection
point, and recheck them in again with Norwegian Air,
and vice versa after claiming them in arrival customs.
Not all US airlines have baggage transfer agreements
in place with Norwegian Air yet.
