I'm taking a very anxious-rarely-flies friend from Seattle to Boston. Because friend is not a member of any trusted traveler program I thought I'd give TSA Spot Saver a try. Does Spot Saver actually save time? Has anyone had any experience with it now, with the federal government shut down? (And yes, taking an anxiety ridden flier across the country during a shutdown is not good timing.)
I can’t tell you impact of shutdown, but I can say spot saver consistently saves time over regular line in normal circumstances.
Like Carol, I can't tell you what its like during the strike, but I always use spot saver at SeaTac and find it to be quite a time saver.
My son just flew Seattle to Minneapolis on Wednesday morning, they have precheck but it seemed to them, all lines were short.
Since they've finish the construction that impacted the TSA lines, I've not seen long lines at SeaTac.
What day and time are you flying?
Thanks Carol and Jules. We fly out on Tuesday at 7.00 AM.
