I've flown through Seattle airport many times on connecting flights. But I have an upcoming 5-hour layover on my way to Amsterdam on Friday. I could just hang out the whole time at the Delta lounge (which I have access to), but wondering if there is anything interesting I should check out before going to lounge? Stores, art, etc.
Not planning to leave the airport and I'll have a carry-on spinner and backpack with me. Thanks!
IF you are flying Delta One, there is a dedicated Delta One lounge that is fairly new. I went to it on my April trip but preferred the more casual regular SkyMiles lounge. There are table service meal options available but I did not see areas to sit and just lounge. I decided I don't need or want a full meal before a long flight.
You probably know this but if your flight is leaving from S Gates, wait until close to time to board to go over there. There is not enough seating and few food options. I was lucky a few weeks ago to have my AMS flight leave from A4.
BTW, if you are looking for a food option and have a sweet tooth....the vegan coconut cake at Floret, located near A1 is awesome.

The airport has a pretty good public art collection https://www.portseattle.org/page/public-art-collection and sometimes they have live music going (search for "live music" on the airport interactive map https://www.portseattle.org/sea/maps). Last time I missed having Pam's coconut cake, but there are plenty of food options (except in the S terminal as she noted). I also have a long-ish layover up there in November so I'm interested what others will suggest. Bon voyage!
They'll give it to you in a go box if you get it from the counter!!

The lounges get busy and will have waits depending on time of day. If the Delta lounge is full, try the Centurian Lounge (Amex). That is my go to almost all of the time. They have a nice smoothie/coffee bar between the bar and the regular food/dining area. If you have to wait, there is a food court below it so you could hang out there for a bit if the wait is not too long. As for shopping etc, there is quite a bit, but it just depends on if you mind wandering with your spinner. I always do carryon and for myself at least, don't find shopping/wandering difficult with my bag. The Fireworks store is fun and has all sorts of stuff. There is also the Made In Washington store. Seattle Chocolate and Theo Chocolate are good too. I usually buy gifts at Seattle Chocolate. I like Chalo also, which sits in the middle of the walkway in the N gates. Really unique items there.
milkiz97 - I'm not sure I have access to the Centurion Lounge as my credit card is Delta Amex. I also have Priority Pass through Capital One Visa but those lounges are not great in the US.
But good to know they get busy. I may just hang out first at the lounge and venture out later before flight. Will give me opportunity to walk before being on that long flight. I have no problem maneuvering my bag and backpack, and usually just put backpack on top of roller to alleviate pressure on shoulders.
And no shopping for me, just browsing. I need to keep room in my bag for gifts from my trip!
