How pay for Seat Reservations for Eurail pass on RS site?

I have already purchased and received a Eurail pass from RS web site. Now, I'm trying to purchase seat reservations for some of the days. I have gone through all of the steps on RS site to select reservations and want to pay for them.

However, I've run into a roadblock.

(Reservations are not currently available for one leg of a trip and message is "Online system can't find tickets--come back later to find them".)

There is no link/button to click or instructions on how to actually pay for the reservations. The Trip Total and "My Itinerary" w/map is listed on right.
I clicked on "My Itinerary" active link at top of screen and message is that there Is nothing in my itinerary.

What procedure do I follow to pay for the reservations? Must I wait until I am allowed to purchase the one missing reservation before I can pay for these reservations?

Thank you!

Are you on the same computer and web browser where you first saved the reservations in this shopping cart? Each is saved for a limited amount of time, but if you just did it, they should show on your itinerary. It is not affected by the last (attempted) reservation. If you have changed computers or browsers, or gone to Rail Europe's separate web site, then those are not the same shopping cart/itineraries.

You may be trying to book trains that either don't require reservations (most trains in Germany and Switzerland, for example) or that don't offer reservations (such as regional trains). Most of the time, the Deutsche Bahn link Looking Up Train Schedules and Routes Online is the best source for those details. If any of your connections include a regional train, you can just book the portion that's by faster train. Or it may be just too early; 2-3 months ahead is the most typical time frame.

If these are mostly optional reservations, and not important French TGV seat assignments, then you could wait and make them at a train station in Europe, for instance when you first have your pass activated.

Thank you for tips. However, I am on the same computer and browser and site and I have tried going through the process several times. And there is no "Shopping Cart" link either.

The trips that I am trying to reserve a seat on are "Reservations recommended" trips in Germany.

(I also need to make reservations across the 2 countries that are on my 2 country Rail pass.)Very frustrating.

If you're on the same computer and browser and site and there's nothing saved under "My Itinerary," then I'm afraid you'll have to start over.

Optional German train reservations can be reserved cheaper through the German site (at the same price you'd pay in a station). Select "Seat Only" before searching. They will be electronic tickets. This also works for some cross-border routes.
