Searching For AMS Online Map

I am facing a semi-tight connection at Amsterdam AMS airport next month. I’m trying to determine the logistics involved in passport control (AMS is the initial Schengen country I’m entering), getting the seat assignment for the next leg of my trip, and another round of security. I’ve located a couple of semi-helpful online Amsterdam AMS maps; but does anyone know of a website with a clearly-labeled AMS map, written in English, that shows the location of these main areas? Thanks for any help.

Have you checked the website for KLM? Sorry I haven't checked it out for myself to know for sure...but s/t Airlines include maps on their site. Ortherwise I guess it's just a hit and miss search on Google.

I've flown in/out/through Schipol Airport many times but in order to help you better, you need to share more details. Is your connecting flight on the same airline, a partner airline, or a budget airline? What country are you flying to from AMS? Are you checking any baggage?

Thanks for the help. The KLM website provides a map at: http://www.nwa.com/travel/trave/airports/AMS.shtml . Immigration checkpoints seem to be located at each point where a terminal branches off from the main building. Very efficient. The map brings up another question, though: Do travelers flying KLM (for both segments) visit the KLM transfer desk before, or after, immigration? Thanks again for any info.

I'm not really sure I'm understanding the question. Where are you connecting to? You shouldn't have to go through passport control if you're flying on to another destination, right? I've used Schiphol as a connector before and have asked to have my passport stamped and have been declined as I wouldn't have an exit stamp unless I leave the secure area.
FWIW - Here's a link to the maps at Schiphol Airport. Don't forget to check out the Rijksmuseum display at the airport. Its free.
The airort map is pretty good and very informative.

You will be given your boarding pass for both flights when you check-in for your first flight in the US. If for some reason you don't, then just head to the first KLM transfer desk you see at Schipol. If you have checked luggage it will be automatically sent on to your connecting flight. At Schipol when you deboard any transterminal where you are free to walk around and do what ever you atlantic flight you will be "funneled" into the regular like. If your connecting flight is to a non-Schengen country like Ireland, UK, or Russia then you don't have to go through any immigration check you simply do directly to the gate. If your connecting flight is to a Schengen country check the monitors for where your gate is located, follow the signs and when you get to that section of the terminal you will go through the immigration check point.
