Scott Kirby, United CEO, was on CNBC this morning.
He said fuel prices have doubled so far.
He said about 40% to 50% of the increase in fuel charges have been passed on through airfares.
He expects the pass through to be 100% by year end.
He expects airfares to increase another 15% to 20% to get to the 100%.
He said so far the price increases have not impacted demand but that he thinks later on there will be a slight impact.
Not planning to cancel long-haul flights, if there's a fuel supply problem, short-haul flights would be canceled first.
