We left Centraal Station by taxi at 0830 and we were through security and in the airport by 0930. Our flight leaves at 12:50. We stopped and checked 2 bags back to DTW (fingers crossed). I was stopped and frisked and my small backpack was gone through. We are Sky Priority so your experience may differ. My wife does not like to get to the airport early but I talked her into leaving early because of all the problems Schiphol has been having. Luckily she has lounge access. Today KLM was not selling day passes for its use. Just a heads up as to our experience at Schiphol this morning in case you have been concerned about its issues. This was all in Terminal 2.

I had same experience with KLM's lounge when I traveled in March - the NYTimes had two articles in July about the popularity of lounges and how they might not be the refuge you're seeking as passenger counts increase.
