Hey all, I'm not an Austrian Alps geography expert. I know I will be taking a train to Villach in order to hop on the bus and head to Venice. My question is, which route will have the better scenery? The route from Salzburg to Villach, or the route from Venice to Villach? I really want the full European-scenery-viewing-from-a-train-experience, so I would appreciate some help on this one! Thanks!

Oh, and by the way, the reason i'm asking is because I will be staying in Venice for a couple days before going on to Venice. So, the question really is, is the train trip better as a straight shot to Villach, or is it better with a connecting route through Salzburg (which would include the scenery from Venice to Salzburg)? The time difference is not much at all, so I could care less about that.
