SBB Swiss Rail App Questions

I hope someone here can help me.

I have read in the RS forums for several months that some people have had difficulty buying tickets on the SBB app as their credit cards are not immediately accepted. I want to avoid that by inputting my personal information on the app in advance of buying to make sure they accept my Visa credit card. As I am using the app, I have a few questions.

1) By inputting my info in advance, will SBB accept my Visa credit card as payment when I'm ready to buy next month? I will be buying 2 or 3 Saver Day Passes and maybe a Super Saver fare. I have notified my bank of my trip.

2) Under “payment method”, I see Apple Pay is populated. There is a field below that reads “Add payment method”. This may be a stupid question but is this where I enter the Visa credit card I will use to buy Saver Day passes and Supersaver tickets? This is the same Visa card that is on my Apple Pay. I want to make sure my credit card goes through (not rejected) when I buy these tickets in advance.

3) In the “Other Settings” section, there is an option to “Always Add Tickets to Wallet”. So on my iPhone, will that mean if I choose that option, the Saver Day Passes, the Supersaver tickets, any any other tickets I buy on the app will go to Apple Wallet? That would be nice.

Thank you!

This did not work for us, but I hope folks here have some helpful suggestions. Do notify your banks that these international charges have been authorized by you.
Good luck and safe travels!

This is not an answer to your real question, but maybe it will help a bit. I used the website for my Saver Day Pass purchase, after registering at SBB. I used my Cap 1 card, which went through with no trouble. I also downloaded the app, logged in, and my passes showed up there (pretty sure that was the order).

Not being sure about the need for data (which I won’t have on this trip) or WiFi for the app, though, I also used the option (from the app) to save my passes in my Wallet, just to be sure. Saving them to my Wallet from the app was very easy. Only having 2 day passes, I didn’t need to check out the “Always Add” function.
