SAS flight discrepancy problem on a flight tomorrow

Hi all. I fly out tomorrow on SAS to Switzerland. I have a 2 hr 15 min layover in Copenhagen. A few days ago I got an email from SAS saying they had to change my flight, but it still showed everything the same as my original reservation. I went to SAS online and in the app and it showed everything correctly too. Now I just opened my email and where it shows upcoming reservations, it shows my flight from Copenhagen to Zurich as tomorrow afternoon, but my flight from Dulles to Copenhagen as tomorrow evening! Again I went to the SAS app and website and my ticket looks correct. I can't reach a live chat agent, only an AI bot and it is not helpful at all.

It looks like I can wake up around 1 am and sign on and maybe be able to chat with a live agent, but I'd really rather be sleeping in the middle of the night. I'm supposed to check in online soon. I seriously did not need this confusion to add to my anxiety. Has anyone else ever encountered something like this?

Thank you for any help you can offer.

What airline is the actual flight on (whose name is painted on the side of the plane), and what airline booked you the tickets? If you're not 100% sure right now, it's time to find out. If there are multiple airlines involved (eg code-shares or other partners), check what both airlines say about that flight (check on both airlines' websites). As a rule, you can generally place more trust in info from the airline that's actually operating the flight, less on whoever sold you the tickets. For example, if you bought your ticket from Delta (or somebody else), but the flight from Dulles to Copenhagen is operated by SAS, believe them more than their partner who sold you the ticket. Make sure you have the flight numbers correct and you enter all info correctly in any system. Look for a link labeled "Manage my flight" (or something similar) on the operating airline's website. Have your confirmation code handy.

You can also check sites like FlightRadar24.com or FlightAware.com to see real-time info on virtually any flight.

Hopefully this all gets sorted quickly and is just a temporary hiccup as systems update. Good luck.

Thank you for responding David. I booked the flight through the SAS site. Both the initial and the secondary were booked as one trip on one ticket. I was able to check in online and it shows the layover as 2hrs 15 min. Maybe this was some sort of temporary glitch in their system? I’m trying not to worry since now that I have my boarding passes, they show the correct dates and times, but wow, I did not need that stress!

The good news is......since it is on one ticket, SAS has to get you to your final destination at no extra cost to you is there is a mixup and you miss your connection.

An article recently talked about American Airline's new AI rebooking system sending out misinformation to passengers. It's possible that this is a computer glitch and your flights have not changed.

I remember once getting a flight change notice and couldn't figure out what changed. Then I realized the arrival time was changed by about five minutes.

If you go into your reservation on the SAS website, and it all seems good, I wouldn't be too concerned.

Hi there, SAS telephone in US is 800-221-2350. I've never had a problem reaching an agent during business hours.

A few days ago I got an email from SAS saying they had to change my
flight, but it still showed everything the same as my original
reservation. I went to SAS online and in the app and it showed
everything correctly too.

As a frequent SAS flyer, I've seen this a number of times, unfortunately. I have called and asked, the answer is always 'It's fine'. One time the agent asked me to refresh my on-line profile, presto the correct information showed up! (My techie H says they may still have some glitches following switching alliances to One World & she manually made an adjustment.)

Bottom line - if it bothers you a lot, call them. No need to chat with them, they DO pick up the phone. The app will very likely show the correct information. Personally, I wouldn't get up in the middle of the night, it's happened often enough that I think you will be FINE!

Oh my goodness, I looked for an actual number all over the website and google and couldn’t find one. Thank you! I called, they answered quickly and confirmed my flight is correct. She didn’t seem concerned about the email I received, which makes me wonder if it happens regularly, but for now I can focus on last minute packing. Whew!

YAY! I'm so glad, I don't recall how I originally found their number, but it works EVEN while you're in Europe, you will simply get routed to a Swedish number.

BTW, yep, her lack of concern indicates it happens too often! Bon Voyage, have a great trip.
