Can you get to Sevilla from Salzberg by rail without any transfers or at least minimizing them?
How long would such a trip take?

The best place to find schedules all over Europe is the German Rail website. I found one connection with changes in Stuttgart, Paris, and Madrid. It takes over 28 hours.

As Lee notes, getting from Austria to southwestern Spain by train is a problem....a loooong time, and several transfers. If you're going on Mon-Wed or Friday, Air Berlin will fly you there, via Palma, in less than five hours. Tuesday and Wednesday flights are the cheapest....under 100 Euro.
