Hi,
I want to plan a day trip to Mauthausen from Salzburg. Is this doable? We will be traveling by train, from what I have read so far we will need a taxi to get there. Can I arrange this the night before? How long would you plan to see the camp?

You should allow at least a couple of hours at the camp and surrounds. I can't speak to how to get there because I was on a bus with my college classmates and didn't have to get there on my own.
