my wife and i will be in bavaria in april 2008. we will be leaving salzburg on a saturday morning and were wondering if the bayern ticket we buy in salzburg will be valid to get us to dachau concentration camp? or will we have to buy a XXL ticket after arriving at munich haptbahnhof? thanks for the advice!

A Bayern-Ticket is valid not only for all regional trains in Bavaria (and to Salzburg) but also for all modes of transportation in the MVV (Munich metro), so you can use the Bayern-Ticket for the S-Bahn for the Munich Hbf to Dachau and from there for the bus to the memorial.
