S-Bahn

We are flying into Frankfurt and staying at the Albatros Hotel in Walldorf-Moerfelden. Do you know if the S-bahn station is near this hotel? We plan on dropping off our luggage at the hotel and then take the S-bahn into Frankfurt. Bob Haas

If that's the Albatros Hotel, at Nordendstrasse 12, Mörfelden-Walldorf, the nearest S-Bahn station I see is the Walldorf Bahnhof, on the S7 line, about a mile away. The next closer station to downtown is at Zeppelinheim, but I don't think it is as close. And to get to either of those stations, you have to take S9 (I suspect S8 will also work) to Stadion Bahnhof and change to S7, about a 25 minute trip. There is a bus, 752, from the airport to Walldorf Bahnhof, and I see one stop closer to Albatros, but I'm not sure there are any close enough. The Hotel is directly across the runways from the terminal, about 2 miles. Looks like you should look at a taxi, at least from Walldorf S-Bahnhof. . . . . ¶ Michael, the white 'S' in the green circle are the S-Bahn stations.

If you go to the Hotel website, it tells you exactly how to get to the hotel, from both the airport and from the Frankfurt main station. From the airport, take bus #751 from Terminal 1, stop 21. This takes 20 min. From the Frankfurt main train station, it is S-bahn 7, with a 1 km. walk once you get off the train in Morfelden. They also offer a shuttle service from the airport.

"Michael, that white 'S' in the green circle are the S-Bahn stations" Yeah I know, the station looks farther away than 200 feet, but that's what the Google Maps measuring tool says....and I don't argue with a company that's got more cash than god;)

Using the map at your URL, the Hotel and station are almost the entire page, 8", apart, and the scale at the bottom shows 1-5/16"=1000'. So I guess it's about 6000', crow distance. Does anyone else see this? When I put in from "Walldorf Bahnhof, Mörfelden-Walldorf" to "Nordendstr. 12, Mörfelden-Walldorf" Google gives the driving distance as 2.1 km and the walking distance as 1.9 km. . . . . . . . ¶ "I don't argue with a company that's got more cash than god". That company doesn't get everything right. If you enlarge the map, you'll see that the company that's got more cash than god gives the routing from Elsa-Brandstrom-Strasse, which is actually across the tracks from the station building. You can get from the platforms via a tunnel to EB Strasse, but if you manually drag the "from" to the station building, the walking route changes to the other side of the tracks, via Farmstrasse, and 1.6 km.
