Thanks for the interesting article Frank II. Just FYI I enjoy reading your many posts/responses on this board. I don't post often but constantly lurk & pick up many tips on travel.
that is sort of interesting. That is a different tactic than charging you for your bags and reducing what you can take on board.
The underlying message is TRAVEL LIGHT OR ELSE. I have found that even my usual 22" carry-on size bag is too large for the budget airlines. I'm trying to figure ways to travel with a smaller bag and less stuff.
Swan I just bought a tom bihn tristar it is 19 inches...this bag is pricey but it is an investment piece
How can any luggage be an investment piece? It is a tool not a part of a retirement program.
well buying this is an investment....its costly but it will last you for years and years unlike a lot of bags out there
This should be really interesting when it happens, as I've been on Ryanair flights where you only get 1 cabin bag and the bins are packed! Not sure where they're going to store potentially 2 bags/person-maybe we'll be sitting on them? Since they can't go in our laps for safety reasons. Or, will Ryanair care about that as they're talking about standing up for flights also? I'm thinking my days of flying Ryanair may be limited (or at least with more than a purse ), which is a shame since you can get some really cheap fares.
