Ryanair: Kinder, gentler, richer

Nobody loved Ryanair, but bargain-seeking customers still made it Europe's busiest airline. Last year, following some sort of road-to-Damascus revelation, the airline introduced a charm offensive, raising eyebrows as high as B-737 trajectory. What's the result? High-flying profits. Maybe a smile (and relaxed carry-on rules) can improve the bottom line after all. This is definitely an improvement for RyanAir. I hope they don't get tired of "being nice" and go back to their old ways.
