Ryanair has canceled my flight

Ryanair canceled my flight. That's fine as I was probably not going to use it.

They are offering a voucher or a cash refund. I want the cash. But when I request that a page pops saying

If you would like to redeem your cash refund please complete the below form.

But isn't redeeming the cash putting it towards a future flight? Anyone with experience dealing with a Ryanair refund please help.

Do you have to do something about this now? How much money is involved?

Just wait until your trip is over to deal with it. Whatever rights you have will still be available to you then, and you can better research it then.

Hi Frank,

Since the airline cancelled your flight, it looks like you can request a full refund and it will go “back to the form of
payment used for the original booking”

You can check it out on https://www.ryanair.com
Under “Flight Cancellations”

Full Refund

If you wish to claim a full refund for the cancelled flight, click on
the link below, to log into your MyRyanair account and follow the
steps for a refund.

Refunds will be processed, within 7 working days, back to the form of
payment used for the original booking.

Hope this helps!

When I request a cash refund, I get the "redeem cash" page. It's only $12.

I had no plans to take this flight. To get my French Pass Sanitaire I had to show my travel tickets in and out of the country. I had not finalized my plans so I didn't know when I would be leaving. I looked for the cheapest ticket and out popped Ryanair. If I lose the $12 it won't ruin my trip.
