I really don't think the EU will permit them to do that for sanitary reasons, but imagine the court case against Ryan the first time someone without a £ coin pees on another passenger. "Ryan knew or should have known that their actions would cause this to happen ..."

Seems like a bit of a wash to me. Toilet revenue will go up, but I bet that revenue from beer sales will go down. :)

Won't people just hold the door open for the next customer? That's what used to happen with the pay toilets of my youth along the Turnpike. (Of course you could prevent that by stationing a flight attendant there to catch people. But, even at the low pay scale of Ryan Air, that probably isn't cost effective...)

I don't think he'll be allowed....it's a sanitary issue.

On the ground, if you find a pay toilet, you have the option of searching for a free one. In the air, you're stuck.

If he does put this inane idea into practice, I'll just look for another airline. (You don't think his competitors will make light of this and remind people of their "free" toilets?)

And bringing a note won't do any good if the toilets are coin operated.

Honestly,, I would not book or fly on such an airline, if this is even remotely under consideration,, you have to wonder where else they cut corners to make revenue,, no, not the luggage charges etc,, that is the same for all the cheap airlines, but what about safety???

No way would I trust that all safety and maintenance issues are not budget controlled, and cutting corners there is scary.

And how many people are going to get on the plane, need to go, then not have any coins to operate the latch?

If somebody's sick and throwing up or diarrhea, and they don't have coins for the loo THEN what's going to happen? Will the loo take Credit Cards?

I would definitely NOT want to be on a plane with pay toilets. No No No way!

Yeah, he says that NOW. If it was supposed to be PR then it's backfired with me....I'm now even LESS likely to fly with an airline run by a jackass! ;)

That is crap! (Pardon the pun...)
This is a health and safety issue. Don't expect it to happen any time soon...or ever!

It wouldn't fly from the standpoint of safety alone.
