Ryanair- Baggage

I have never traveled with Ryanair before and wanted to know how strict they are about their carry on size for baggage. My backpack is about 2 inches longer than the regulations. Does anyone have experience getting a slightly bigger bag on the airplane? If not how much of a pain is it to check the bag?

There's always the off-chance that you could get it on board the airplane but I, for one, wouldn't risk it. It's best to check it (and pay) when you get your ticket because if you have to check it when you go to get on the plane it will cost you more. It's one of the ways they make money on their cheap flights.

Thank you! Have either of you ever used Ryan Airs Airport transfer service?

I have used it in Morocco (Fez and Marrakesh) and in Milan, and it has always worked perfectly. In Milan they use one of the big bus companies available, in Morocco, it was a small shuttle (12 - 15 people). They were always punctual and everything went according to plan.

We are also using Ryanair for a flight between Seville and Rome. I only hope I pressed the right button and paid the right amount for baggage! I have also asked the same question about their transfer service, they offer it from the airport to termini and I was wondering if it was a good deal, or find our own way, we stay in the termini area, so I don't think transport is a big issue anyway. Just looking for helpful hints.
