Another RyanAir baggage question. Will RyanAir let you check a guitar in a soft case as checked baggage for 15 euros or do they charge more for musical instruments? It appears that our other baggage will all fit w/in the regs for carry-on. Is it cheaper to book a seat for the guitar? The 18 hr ferry crossing from Ireland to France is starting to look better and better.

Hi Maggie! I just did a random check for cost of guitar and it was 40 euros. Not sure if it's a different cost on different flights. For specifics, go to Ryanair website, then "Contact Us" then "Customer Service Department". Not sure if you can buy a seat for a guitar, it is a discount airline and they're trying to get lots of bucks for baggage!
