I have a RickSteves backpack. Has anyone had any problems as a carry on with ryan air (? depth of backpack with airline measurements).

You should be okay.............
But make sure they haven't eliminated more routes....Ryan Air is cutting back.......

You better get online and check their measurements and weights. We flew Ryanair (everything went fine but we knew what to expect) and the box they have you put your bag in to check it is pretty small. They don't allow much weight either. Be prepared to check and pay for your bags. If you get a really good deal (we paid 25 Euros) it will still be a good deal.

Here's from their website..."It should weigh no more than 10kg (22 lbs) and not exceed the maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (21.65 x 15.75 x 7.87 inches)."
