I've made lots of flights with Ryanair and used their link to Hertz to get great car rental deals. Last year, however, the web page used to rent cars would only show United Kingdom as my country of address...no other options available. I went ahead and made reservations for cars in Spain and UK, hoping they wouldn't notice, but after I read the fine print which said I might be asked to produce a utility bill to prove where I live, I chickened out and canceled my reservations. I just looked again, interested in renting in Italy, and it's the same thing. Has anyone else had any experience with this? Is there any way around it?
