Ryan Air vs Wizz vs Norwegian

Hello folks:

I may travel from Copenhagen to Poland (Gdansk, Warsaw, or Poznan). Beside LOT (to Warsaw only), which is a non-budget carrier, all three carriers are ultra low-cost: Ryan, Wizz, and Norwegian.
I know that these airlines nickel and dime for everything. I will take a carry-on, personal item, and a checked bag. Thus, I know that the total fare is not gonna be that low. But, I have medical stuff that I need to bring with me.

If you have flown these carriers or know a lot about them, please share your opinions.
Thank you.

I have flown Ryan Air. I paid extra to carry on a suitcase. It all went smoothly.

I don't know about the other two, but with Ryan you need to understand they mean each and every rule. Size & weight limits, the time before departure by which you must have dropped your bags, etc. Carefully read thru and follow everything they say on their website and things go fine.

SAS also has flights to both Warsaw, Gdansk and Poznan from Copenhagen.

We have flown Ryanair and Norwegian Air without any problems. They were not different from other airlines except I don’t think they had a first or business class option. They flew the routes we needed and saved us from having to take two flights to get to our destinations. Reasonably priced too. We haven’t flown WIZZ.

I've flown Ryan and Wizz a few times. Both okay. I've seen non compliant carryon going on the plane with no issues, but I'm a stickler for rules so I wouldn't. What didn't go well was those that tried to carry 2 items.

I’ve flown Norwegian a few different times when they still flew from the US to Europe and had great experiences every time. Wish they still had those routes. Things may have changed since they’ve scaled back.

A recent report by Which magazine (a consumer protection magazine) revealed that the likes of Ryanair, Easyjet, Wizz Air were frequently more expensive than British Airways when all the extras were totalled up. Whilst you will not be flying BA the conclusion can still be drawn against comparison with other "non budget" airlines. I suspect that if you were to compare like for like you will probably find that LOT, for example, may be equal or even cheaper in price than the supposedly low cost carriers. National carriers tend to far less strict around baggage size and restrictions.

Used Ryanair and Easyjet loads of times often as 6 or 7 times a year.always had pretty good experiences with them all, no major delays or problems. Ryanair flights are sometimes operated by Wizz air and I had a couple of flights last month that were booked on Ryanair but operated by Wizz air, Ryanair planes but Wizz air staff. No difference to the service. Just make sure you adhere to all their rules especially the baggage rules.Never used Norwegian.
